Significant smoke will invade Montana once again on Tuesday. The air quality is expected to remain poor today, likely becoming unhealthy for sensitive groups.

Highs will remain a bit cooler as a cold front continues to settle into the state.

Most areas in Central Montana will reach the high 80s with the mid 90s in the plains.

Stronger storms are expected to begin kicking up in Southwestern Montana this afternoon. These storm systems should track through Helena during the middle of the afternoon with a few impacting Great Falls by the late afternoon. Storms should continue to track to the Northeast as the evening plays out.

Another round of stronger storms is possible again late evening through around midnight.

Dry conditions with temperatures more on track with average will take us through the remainder of the work week. Temperatures are on track to take a tumble Saturday night into Sunday as an aggressive low pressure system moves into the state. This system is expected to cool temperatures to the low 70s and offer up a few showers throughout the region as we head into a new work week.
