Above average temperatures remain a thing of the past as arctic air takes up residence in Monday

Tuesday morning forecast with Jason Laird

Temperatures remain well below seasonal averages once again on Tuesday.

Dense morning fog is likely for most of Central Montana, especially along rivers, bodies of water, and valleys.

A light breezy will help to burn most of this fog up mid morning, however breeze will drop the wind chill temperature to the single digits.

Slightly more sun is expected to break through the clouds today, allowing for daytime highs to reach the mid to high 30s for most.

A brief ridge of high pressure will allow for a slight warm up Wednesday and Thursday.

This ridge will break down slightly on Friday, in turn opening the door for a few scattered showers.

High pressure will rebuild over the weekend.

This should allow for daytime highs to once again trend closer to normal for our area through Tuesday.
