Morning flooding concerns, another cooler afternoon

A heavy band of showers pushing into the northeast has prompted flooding concerns this morning.

We track areas under a Flash Flood Watch until 6 pm this evening.

Light showers continue to fall in Central Montana, but widespread showers will break apart through all of the Treasure State by this afternoon.

A few isolated showers can’t be ruled out for Central and East Montana later this afternoon and evening.

A weak high pressure system moves in from the west this afternoon.

This will start clearing up conditions for the Rockies first, and we will see clearing conditions later this evening in the Plains.

Summer-like weather returns tomorrow!

Temperatures rebound back into the mid 80s and dry air moves in through the end of the week.
