After a warm start for most of the state, temperatures will reach into the mid 80s and even low 90s this afternoon.

Late afternoon and early evening thunderstorms develop across Central Montana.

A few storms may be stronger and produce small hail, gusty wind, and frequent lightning.

Chances of thunderstorm development increase this tomorrow afternoon and evening, as well.

Tomorrow a cold front moves down from Canada.

This will help give enough energy to trigger another round of those stronger, late-day storms across the area.

The Northeast Hi-Line is under a Marginal Risk for severe storms tomorrow afternoon:

Temperatures will take a slight drop Saturday but stay right at or just below average.

Rain and storm chances remain in the forecast through the end of the weekend and into next week.
