Widespread rain will continue on Monday.
A slow moving area of low pressure will continue to draw ample amounts of moisture across the state.
Showers will slowly taper off Monday night into Tuesday.
Daytime high temperatures will remain below average yet again on Tuesday, likely only hitting the mid 50s.
Sunshine and warmer weather will return on on Wednesday.
Keep in mind as daytime high temperatures rise, afternoon thunderstorms will become more likely.
The best chances for afternoon thunderstorms will be Thursday through Saturday.
Flood Concerns….
Water levels remain very high coming off of the weekend rain.
According to the National Weather Service in Great Falls…
Flood warnings remain in place across portions of Glacier, Toole, Teton, Pondera, Lewis and Clark, and Cascade counties until further notice for both overland and river flooding.
The Dearborn River has risen above flood stage and will continue to rise to near moderate flood stage by early Monday.
Badge creek near Browning has also risen above minor flood stage.
The Marias River near Shelby is now expected to reach minor flood stage early this work week, so portions of southern Glacier and Toole counties were added to the on-going flood warnings.
The Sun River, Teton River, and numerous other creeks are also rising quickly in response to the heavy rainfall.
Delayed rises in rivers, creeks, and streams are still possible today and perhaps into Tuesday.
Other area worth watching are low land and poor drainage areas of Judith Basin and Fergus counties as overnight and forecasted Monday rain may bring some localized flooding issues.
