It’s officially spring in Montana when the first thunderstorm makes an appearance in the Treasure State.

A little storm cell traveled just North of Great Falls Sunday night around 7:00 pm.

Some lightning was reported along with periods of heavy rain.

Looking ahead to this week, we will continue to see hit and miss moisture with more sunshine.

Rain and snow will travel through the state Monday before tapering off Monday afternoon.

The heaviest precipitation will be throughout Eastern Montana on Monday.

Temperatures will remain in the 40s through Tuesday before bumping to the 50s on Wednesday.

Another round of rain is likely Wednesday evening.

Although it’s April fools day this isn’t a joke… Forecast models are trending toward the 60s by Friday.
