We are off to another frigid start with temperatures remaining subzero though the early morning hours.
A Wind Chill Warning and Wind Chill Advisory is in effect for the Northeast Hi-Line until 11 AM this morning.
Light snow moved across the Capital City this morning, but moderate snow moves in by this afternoon.
Flurries are possible into Central Montana today, but most the moderate snow stays to our south and west.
A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect through Southwest Montana until 11 PM tonight.
Two to four inches of additional snowfall are expected in those advised areas today.
Temperatures finally break above zero and reach into the teens this afternoon.
March is almost here but more arctic air and snow will kick out February and greet March.
There is no relief from much colder weather in sight as we head into the first week of next month.
Additional snow on those roofs are getting pretty heavy with over 20″ of snow accumulation reported so far for just this month in Helena and over 30″ reported in Great Falls.
More snow remains in the forecast and isn’t expected to melt anytime soon.
Heavy snow on roofs could cause problems down the road.
