Our last round of winter weather has wrapped up, but we’re expecting more snow in the forecast.
Before that snow arrives, chinook winds will move in.
Winds remain fairly calm Friday night.
Lows fall into the 20s in Central Montana, but into the single digits along the Hi-Line and in Northeast Montana.
Temperatures will increase as winds pick up Saturday.
Highs will be in the 40s and even as high as 50 degrees, but cooler in Northeast Montana.
AHigh Wind Watch is in effect along the Rocky Mountain front.
Gusts over 40 miles per hour will be common in Central Montana Saturday.
Snow returns on Sunday.
A heavy band of snow will set up across the state, and will likely drop between 1 and 4 inches of accumulation.
Right now it looks like Helena, Great Falls, and Lewistown are in the direct path of snow, but models are still not in perfect agreement on the location of heaviest snow.
