We are tracking rain and snow moving into the state from the west this morning.

Most snow will stay in upper elevations through the Rockies with a possibility of a few snow showers through the Little Belts.

Most precipitation will be caught up in the Rockies today, but some rain/snow mix is possible for lower elevations through Central Montana by late morning.

Temperatures will be above freezing for the Plains by late morning, so any precipitation that does make it over the Front will most likely be rain.

By this afternoon, Central Montana skies clear for much more sunshine.

Clouds move out a little later this evening for Northeast Montana.

Snow sticks around in the Northern Rocky Mountain Front through this evening into tomorrow morning.

Sunshine and above-average temperatures will take us into the weekend after clouds clear out later this morning.
