High pressure ridge building from the west

Snow will continue early this afternoon before ending from north to south this evening.

A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 4 PM Sunday.

From the National Weather Service:

* WHAT…SNOW OCCURRING. SNOW RATES MAY APPROACH 1 INCH PER HOUR

THROUGH MID-AFTERNOON, ESPECIALLY ALONG THE MOUNTAINS, RESULTING

IN VISIBILITY BELOW ONE-HALF MILE AND SNOW-COVERED ROADS. TOTAL

SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 1 TO 4 INCHES, WITH HIGHER AMOUNTS OF 4

TO 6 INCHES TOWARD AND ALONG THE MOUNTAINS.

* WHERE…PORTIONS OF CENTRAL, NORTH CENTRAL, SOUTHWEST AND WEST

CENTRAL MONTANA.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…PLAN ON SLIPPERY ROAD CONDITIONS AND

SHARPLY REDUCED VISIBILITY.

A high pressure ridge builds from the west which will allow conditions to dry out this week.

Monday’s temperatures will still remain below-normal but Tuesday we will see temperatures rise to near or above normal for this time of year.

So with this ridge sticking around this work week, we will see dry, warm, and breezy to windy conditions.
