More winter weather incoming

After a beautiful Monday, we return to cooler, less pleasant weather on Tuesday.

An approaching cold front will drop temperatures, and bring in scattered rain showers.

Snow is expected along the Rocky Moutain Front, with over a foot of accumulation possible at higher elevations.

A Winter Weather Advisory and Winter Storm Warning are in effect.

WINTER STORM WARNING

* WHAT…Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 6 to 12
inches, with localized amounts up to 24 inches at ridgetops, are
expected. Total snowfall accumulations at Logan Pass of 18 to 22
inches, with 5 to 8 inches at Marias Pass, are expected.

* WHERE…Northern Rocky Mountain Front.

* WHEN…From 3 AM Tuesday to noon MDT Wednesday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Plan on difficult travel conditions,
including during the morning commute on Wednesday. Expect
significant reductions in visibility at times. Those with
outdoor interests should be prepared for adverse winter
conditions…or consider delaying plans. Some impacts to
livestock possible.
A Winter Storm Warning for snow means severe winter weather
conditions will make travel very hazardous or impossible. If you
must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food and water in your
vehicle in case of an emergency. The latest road conditions for

* WHAT…Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of up to two
inches are expected northwest of a Conrad to Ledger line.

* WHERE…Eastern Pondera.

* WHEN…From 6 AM Tuesday to noon MDT Wednesday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Plan on slippery road conditions,
including during the morning commute on Wednesday. Expect
reduced visibilities at times.
A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will
cause primarily travel difficulties. Expect snow covered roads
and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving. The

with localized amounts up to 9 inches at ridgetops over the
Continental Divide and Sweet Grass Hills, are expected.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Plan on slippery road conditions, including
during the morning commute on Wednesday. Expect reduced
visibilities at times. Those with outdoor interests should be
prepared for the return of winter conditions.
