It has not been a nice day for most of the state.

A cold front continues to slowly pass through, bringing rain, mountain snow, and eventually some frost.

Temperatures will dive as low as the mid 20s tonight for Northeast Montana, with low to mid 30s for the rest of the state.

Skies will clear out on Friday , but we remain cool, with highs in the upper 40s to lower 50s.

Additionally, a Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect for the Rocky Mountain Front above 6,000 feet through 9 AM Friday:

* WHAT…SNOW. ADDITIONAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 1 TO 3 INCHES, WITH LOCALIZED AMOUNTS UP TO 5 INCHES, ARE EXPECTED.

* WHERE…SOUTHERN ROCKY MOUNTAIN FRONT AND NORTHERN ROCKY MOUNTAIN FRONT.

* WHEN…UNTIL 9 AM MDT FRIDAY.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…SNOW WILL IMPACT BACKCOUNTRY RECREATION AND GOING TO THE SUN ROAD IN GLACIER PARK. PLAN ON RAW AND COLD CONDITIONS AND THE POTENTIAL FOR SOME SLICK ROADWAYS AS WELL AS REDUCED VISIBILITIES AT TIMES.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS: A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR WET SNOW MEANS PERIODS OF WET SNOW WILL CAUSE PRIMARILY TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES AND IMPACTS TO OUTDOOR RECREATION. EXPECT SOME SNOW COVERED ROADS AND LIMITED VISIBILITIES, AND USE CAUTION WHILE DRIVING. THE LATEST ROAD CONDITIONS FOR THE STATE YOU ARE CALLING FROM CAN BE OBTAINED BY CALLING 511.
