The official start of summer is still weeks away, but just as the pumpkin spice latte ushers in the autumn vibes early at Starbucks, the coffee chain’s summer menu has already launched.
This summer, there’s a new drink inspired by a summer festival treat: Strawberryâ¯Funnel Cakeâ¯Frappuccino! With a nostalgic flavor that will remind you of carefree summer moments, the Strawberry Funnel Cake Frappuccino features layers of strawberry puree and whipped cream swirled with funnel cake-flavored Frappuccino.
The new frozen beverage is then topped with crunchy powdered sugar funnel cake pieces.⯠It is available only for a limited time, while supplies last.
The summer vibes on Starbucks’ menu continue with the return of the unicorn cake pop, a vanilla cake with confetti sprinkles dipped in a white chocolate icing.
The summer menu also includes year-round favorites that are perfect for the season, like the Caramel Ribbon Crunch and Mocha Cookie Crumble Frappuccinos and a variety of colorful Starbucks Refreshers drinks, like theâ¯magenta-coloredâ¯Dragon Drink, pastel Pink Drink, Mangoâ¯Dragonfruit and Kiwi Starfruit.
You can also get a keto-friendly version of the Pink Drink. To order it, ask for a Starbucks Passion Tango Iced Tea, but in place of milk, ask for it to be made with heavy cream. Then request 2-3 pumps of sugar-free vanilla syrup. You can sweeten it further, if needed, with a little Splenda.
Starbucks also has two new shaken espresso drinks, Iced Chocolate Almondmilk Shaken Espresso and Iced Brown Sugar Oatmilk Shaken Espresso. While the almond milk espresso blends espresso with cocoa and notes of malt, the brown sugar shaken espresso has brown sugar, which is sure to wake you up in the morning.
Dunkin’ has also already launched its summer menu, which includes a new Sunrise Batch Hot Coffee and iced Butter Pecan Sundae Signature Latte.
The new Butter Pecan Sundae Latte is a take on the classic ice cream flavor, featuring Dunkin’s espresso mixed with butter pecan flavor, topped with whipped cream, caramel drizzle and rainbow sprinkles.
Which summer treats will you be trying first?
