FRIDAY, MARCH 29: Great Falls Park & Recreation Department will be releasing waterfowl back into Gibson Pond at 10:30 am. The annual event is usually attended by many people, especially families, who enjoy seeing the birds released back into the pond. The department says: "Bring your entire family, it’s always entertaining for kids of all ages. Park and Recreation staff takes care of the waterfowl over the winter months at their indoor location at the north end of Gibson Park. There they enjoy an indoor pond and are fed daily. Once they are released into Gibson Pond they are still fed on a daily basis by staff."
FRIDAY, MARCH 29: Come enjoy the Good Wood Guys Egg-stravaganza from 11am until 6pm (816 20th Street North). Dyeing and decorating wooden eggs in the shop. Try our dying stations, painting, and even wood burning to make your one-of-a-kind treasures. Games including wood shop favorites and special spring activities. SATURDAY, MARCH 30: The City of Great Falls will host its annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 30, 2024, in Gibson Park at 11 a.m. The event will feature eggs filled with candy, coins, and special prizes - and of course the Easter Bunny will be making a guest appearance. Easter Egg Hunt age divisions include: ages 1 - 3, 4 - 6, and 7 - 9. The event is free.
SATURDAY, MARCH 30: The Big Sky Deli and Bakery and the 406 Arena will host an Easter Egg Hunt starting at 10 am. Peter Rabbit will be at the event again and you are welcome to take pictures with him. The event will be held inside The 406 Arena. FRIDAY, APRIL 5: Come to a Veterans Breakfast at Alliance For Youth from 7am until 9m (3220 11th Avenue South). Veterans Mentoring Veterans is sponsoring a FREE breakfast for you and your family. FRIDAY, APRIL 5 - SUNDAY, APRIL 7: Come to the Home & Garden Show/Sale at Montana Expopark. Talk with experts and find new items for your home and/or garden. SATURDAY, APRIL 6: Come enjoy Fool's Revel from 9am until 6pm at 1300 First Avenue North in Great Falls. The Shire of Stan Wyrm will host a day of medieval fun. Come celebrate the medieval period with Arts & Sciences and Bardic championships as well as swordfighting tournaments and classes. Adults $20, children under 18 are free. MONDAY, APRIL 8: Join us at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine Montana (2801 16th Avenue South) for our student-led health fair to learn more about your health, and medicine. Health screenings for: Vision, Blood Pressure / Lipids, Blood Glucose / Diabetes, Women (breast/ovarian cancer, skin care) and Men’s Health, and more. Engage in informative discussions covering healthy eating guidelines and tips for improving sleep quality. You will have the opportunity to speak with health professionals one-on-one about your medications and health. Alluvion Health will provide Flu and COVID vaccinations. SATURDAY, APRIL 20: The Great Falls Figure Skating Club will host The Elements on Ice from 2:30pm until 5pm at the Great Falls Ice Plex (4001 29th Street SW). The annual ice show showcases skaters who have just started and those who are seasoned in figure skating. APRIL 20-21: Great Falls will host the Montana Fitness & Health Expo. The expo will showcase businesses and health professionals who offer products or services that help individuals reach their health and fitness goals. APRIL 27: There will be a Spaghetti Feed Fundraiser to benefit the Montana Association for the Deaf & Blind from 4pm until 9pm at the VFW (4123 10th Avenue South) in Greaet Falls. FRIDAY, MAY 10: Deadline for submissions to perform in Peace Place's "Center Stage" fundraiser. Solo singers compete for cash prizes. Must be at least 18 years old at time of event - June 21, 2024. SUNDAY, JUNE 16: Join us for Payton’s Run in Browning starting at 4pm. It will begin at Last Star Road #9. This is a memorial run created in honor of our boy Payton Lane Weatherwax Buckland. Payton was diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma and boy did he give it one heck of a fight. In November of 2022 his little body grew tired, what once was an energetic happy little ball of energy was no longer physically able to move on his own but he still smiled and cracked jokes, his strength and love for life will live on. Come out and join us Father's Day/Payton’s Birthday weekend as we continue to do what Payton loved. Everyone is encouraged to join us! Kids ages 1-17 enter the run for FREE!
