MISSOULA — Four military veterans wanted to help out during the Haiti Earthquake 10 years ago and their efforts eventually led to the creation of Team Rubicon.
The disaster response group has made its way to Missoula and on Saturday, local members of Team Rubicon took part in 10 year anniversary get together.
About 100 local veterans and first responders are apart of the group, including city administrator Gerald Auch who said that as a veteran he's happy to continue serving.
"And help folks in any kind of disaster, and help augment emergency services to local emergency services. We have an incredible amount of capabilities and we want to make sure that we can do that here for Montana," said Auch.
Team Rubicon has responded to floods in Missoula and Ravalli counties .
