A Winter Storm Warning will remain in place through midnight for most of the region through midnight including Cascade, Choteau, Lewis and Clark, and Meagher counties
Those areas will receive several inches of snow with strong, gusty winds, particularly in the higher elevations. Very poor visibility is likely at times. As we look ahead, conditions will improve, as we’ll see some sunshine for Sunday and Monday.
We’ll wake up to temperatures in the lower to upper single digits for much of the area on Easter Sunday. The sun will brighten our day, but temperatures will only reach the lower to middle 30s for afternoon highs.
Monday will bring more sunshine. Temperatures won’t make much of a jump, but it will be slightly warmer. Overnight lows will drop into the middle teens to lower 20s, while afternoon highs will warm into the middle to upper 30s.
Clouds will increase on Tuesday ahead of a quick moving weather system expected late Tuesday night through early Wednesday. Afternoon highs will reach the middle 40s.
Expect a chance of rain and snow Tuesday night into early Wednesday with a. clearing sky later in the day. Highs will reach the lower 40s in most areas.
Thursday and Friday appear to be partly cloudy with a small chance of a few snowflakes on Thursday with a high in the lower to middle 40s on Thursday, and middle 50s to close out the week.
