6:45 A.M. UPDATE SEPT. 10: The bands have been announced for the event in Rachel.

8:30 P.M. UPDATE: Matty Roberts is now partnering with Downtown Las Vegas Events Center for Area 51 Celebration on Sept. 19, according to event planner Frank DiMaggio.

Alien Stock is still happening, according to Connie West, owner of the Little A'Le'Inn in Rachel.

13 Action News investigative reporter Joe Bartels was able to independently verify that West has made arrangements for sanitation, security and medical for the Alien Stock Event. West also says that stages are in the process of being built and she has lined up 20 bands and 2 comedians. She also told 13 Action News that she will be announcing the entertainment lineup soon.

Officials are currently estimating that as many as 20,000 people could show up in Rachel and nearby Hiko for another event on and around Sept. 20. Lincoln County has also been making preparations for the events that are being held.

Roberts and DiMaggio says they will be releasing more information about their plans on Tuesday.

A Facebook event titled Storm Area 51 went super viral and various groups began making plans on how to capitalize on the attention.

The Facebook event encourages people to storm a highly classified base known as Area 51 in the middle of desert in Nevada.

A variety of events have been planned, including Alien Stock in Rachel and Storm Area 51 Basecamp Experience in Hiko.

However, there is controversy surrounding Alien Stock and there's a possibility that it might not happen exactly as planned.

13 Action News sat down with the person who created the Facebook event (Matty Roberts), a Las Vegas event producer (Frank DiMaggio) and Connie West, co-owner of a motel in Rachel, on Monday morning.
