GREAT FALLS — We have received several reports of power outages affecting some customers in and around Sun Prairie and Vaughn.
At this point, there is no word on the cause, nor the estimated duration.
The NorthWestern Energy website outage map is currently "off-line," as the utility company says it is experiencing a severe weather event and the map is temporarily unavailable.
The page says that due to the severity of outages, they are unable to keep the map up to date "while we focus on ensuring the safety of our customers and dispatching crews to emergency outages."
Earlier on Thursday, the company said that crews are out across Montana working to repair damage done by the extreme wind storm that ripped across Montana on Wednesday.
If you need to report a natural gas or electric emergency, call 888-467-2669.
