Barry J. Day, 57, of Great Falls, passed away on Thursday, January 24, 2019.
Barry Jon Day was born August 11, 1961 in Great Falls MT and passed away January 24, 2019 from heart failure due to Telomere Syndrome. Barry spent most of his life in Great Falls and graduated from Great Falls High School.
Barry provided for his daughters for 14 years by himself until he married the love of his life, Penny Sykes in April 2005.
Barry was a mechanic who spent many years working at Falls Tire, Midas, Bennett Motors and Meineke. He gave up working as a mechanic and found a job that he really, really loved, as a transportation driver for Brookdale Senior Living.
I don’t think that anyone has loved a job more than he loved driving the residents to appointments and activities. It kinda irritated me that he was excited to go to work and would come home and tell me what a great day he had! Barry also loved his motorcycles, cars, and camping. Barry truly loved to run around in the mountains on the 4-wheelers with Lee and Robert.
He had recently taken up welding scrap metal together to make yard ornaments for the family, friends and benefits.
