Mary F. Mason, 72, of Great Falls, passed away on Sunday, January 20, 2019 at Peace Hospice.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday. January 25 at Croxford Funeral Home in the Rose Room Chapel with Visitation one-hour prior.
Mary was born on August 19, 1946 in Cheyenne, WY to Phillip and Ferne Podobnik. She was raised in Great Falls, graduating from Great Falls High in 1964.
It was in Helena where she met her true love, Frank Mason and the two of them were married on March 29, 1969 in Great Falls.
They spent the next 50 years together. During this time, she followed Frank for 20 years of military relocations to Ft. Bragg, Mineral Wells, TX, Ft. Carson, Ft. Benning, FT. Gordon and on to Germany followed by a return to Ft. Bragg and Ft. Leonard Wood, finally retiring in Great Falls in 1986.
She managed to find time working as a legal secretary.
Mary enjoyed cross- stitch, embroidery, Bearfoot Bears figurines, raising kids, games and camping. Her main passion was her family. She enjoyed the simple things, from a drive in the country to a cup of Sonic ice cubes.
