Obituary: Adrianna Bandy Wendt

Adrianna Wendt, 13, passed away after a long and heroic struggle with respiratory and other disabilities on October 25, 2018.

Adrianna was born in Great Falls to Krystine Wendt and Dylan Bandy on May 31, 2005. She was diagnosed with Bilateral Schizensopholy (partially underdeveloped brain) at an early age. She lived with her mom. She moved to Helena and lived with her mom and stepdad Tony Rowland for a couple of years and then moved back to Great Falls and lived with her mom and stepsister Jocelynn until Rick and Sherri Bandy (her grandparents) took over her care in 2012.

Sherri became her advocate and caregiver with the help of some wonderful nurses until the end of her life. The last year of her life she was in and out of hospitals in Great Falls, Billings, and Seattle more times in her short life than most will ever be. She died doing what she loved most and that was rocking in the arms of Sherri surrounded by people that loved her.

Some would say that someone with her type of disabilities should not be brought into this world but for those of us that knew her, we can tell you that Adrianna had more of an impact on people all over this world that most of us will have in a full life time.

She loved unconditionally and impacted each of us that knew her in ways that can never be explained. She had people in churches across America praying for her and her family and even had kids in an orphanage in South Africa praying for her. At the end of Adrianna’s life one of those kids said she understood Adrianna would soon be healed when in the arms of Jesus so they needed to be praying for her family.

Donations in honor of Adrianna may be made to New Hope Christian Church, 901 Avenue B NW Great Falls, MT 59404.
