Patricia Lee McCune (Pat) 82, of Great Falls, went to be with her Father in heaven on September 13,2018. She passed away at Peace Hospice surrounded by family and friends.

Patricia was welcomed into the world on February 8, 1936 in Ekalaka, MT by her parents Agnes Johanna (McGinnis) and Joseph James Hurst; the temperature was 47 degrees below zero.

Patricia has three siblings Tim Hurst (Linda) of Phoenix, AZ and twin sisters Susan Morse CO and Linda (Jesse) Mosqueda CA.

Patricia’s father was in construction and the family moved frequently throughout the United States returning to Great Falls in the 50’s.

Patricia attended Our Lady of Lourdes Elementary School from fourth through eighth grade.

She then attended the Margret Hood School of Beauty while also going to high school at Central Catholic where she graduated in 1955. She was in the second class to graduate from this new high school.

Patricia worked at the Grace Beauty Salon and later at the Paris of Montana Beauty Salon. She then worked as an office manager for Mobile Typewriter Service for twenty years.

After retiring, she worked part time at Lewis and Clark school as a classroom aide and in the after school Hands program.

Patricia married James H. McCune, of Boston, MA at Saint Ann’s Cathedral on Feb. 11, 1956. James was in the United States Air Force and they enjoyed Air Force life and traveled extensively.

Destinations included North Carolina, Istanbul Turkey, and Iraklion, Crete Greece. Together they have three children two sons Tim and Dave McCune and one daughter Kathy Nelson.

Patricia loved her family, dogs, her roses, and spending time at Holter Lake. She was an active member of the NCO Women’s Club, Ladies of the Elks, Red Hats, and the Great Falls Doll Club.
