GREAT FALLS – A Great Falls native has thrown his hat into the ring to be the next Montana Attorney General.

Graybill said he grew up a few blocks from the courthouse and is a product not only of Great Falls Public Schools, but the community itself.

He is currently Governor Steve Bullock’s chief legal counsel.

Graybill’s campaign reports he has worked on fighting dark money in politics and protecting Montana’s public lands.

“We need an attorney general who puts Montana’s values first. Who fights for our rights and freedoms, for the right to privacy, and the right to individual dignity. And who puts real meaning behind those guarantees. And who will not settle for just enough. I know this too because I have fought that fight. The law should work for you and I know it will if we have someone who is willing to enforce it,” Graybill said.

He added he will hold the federal government accountable, work on bringing down the cost of prescriptions, and protect Montanans’ right to privacy.

Democratic State Rep. Kim Dudik of Missoula and Republican Jon Bennion of Helena, who is currently the chief deputy attorney general, have also announced runs for Montana Attorney General.
