HELENA — Lewis & Clark County Sheriff-Coroner Leo Dutton has identified Haden Yamaguchi as the man who died Thursday in a one-vehicle crash.

Yamaguchi, 20 years old, was from East Helena.

Dutton said Yamaguchi died of blunt force trauma, and he ruled the death an accident.

(FEBRUARY 4) The Montana Highway Patrol says a 20-year-old man died Thursday in a one-vehicle crash near East Helena.

Troopers believe the crash happened between midnight at 3 a.m., at the corner of Shoshone Drive and Remington Street.

They say the driver was southbound on Shoshone and failed to make the right turn. His GMC Sierra ended up in a pit on the south side of Remington, the front left tire blew out, and the truck turned onto its side.

MHP says the driver was not wearing a seat belt and was partially ejected. They say he sustained fatal head injuries, and died at the scene.

The name of the man has not yet been released.

The crash was reported to MHP just before 6 a.m. Troopers say it is still under investigation, and that alcohol is a suspected factor.
