Motorcyclist dies after colliding with pickup truck in Billings

BILLINGS — One person died in a crash on Thursday near the intersection of Sixth Avenue North and North 31st Street in Billings.

The motorcyclist was heading west on Sixth Avenue North and collided with a white pickup truck that was heading north on North 31st Street, Billings police Sgt. Clyde Reid said.

The motorcycle rider, a male, died at the scene, Reid said. The man's name has not yet been released.

The truck driver was taken to a Billings hospital; the nature and extent of that person's injuries has not been disclosed.

Authorities were called to the scene at around 8:30 p.m.

Police are continuing to investigate the crash.


(UPDATE, AUGUST 30) According to Yellowstone County Coroner Cliff Mahoney, Joshua Jeffers Billings, 43 years old, died as a result of blunt force trauma injuries.
