Kalispell man dies in head-on crash

MISSOULA — A Kalispell man died earlier this week after being injured in a head-on crash in Northern Idaho.

The Idaho State Police report that on Thursday, December 19, a vehicle was driving the wrong way on US Highway 95 between Coeur d'Alene and Worley shortly after 6:45 a.m..

The ISP reports that several drivers attempted to warn the driver –- who has been identified as 85-year-old James Leslie -- but he ran head-on into a loaded Kenworth logging truck.

Leslie was taken by ambulance to Kootenai Health in Coeur d'Alene, where he succumbed to his injuries on December 22, according to ISP.

The driver of the logging truck, Robert Henson of Troy, 49 years old, was wearing a seat belt and was not hurt in the crash.
