ICE detains undocumented immigrants in Bigfork

The HSI office in Denver - which oversees operations in Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, and Montana - made the announcement on Tuesday, March 4, 2025.

The agency says agents acted on a tip and set up an operation at a construction site in Bigfork.

Agents served a notice of inspection and said they "encountered 17 illegal aliens during the operation."

All of the undocumented immigrants were taken into custody and found ineligible to remain in the United States.

There is no word at this point on who they were working for, or whether the employer may be charged.

MTN spoke with Flathead County Sheriff Brian Heino, who said that his agency was not involved with the raid and believes ICE is running on its own system with civil warrants.

We contacted ICE for comment; the agency replied: "We have no further information to provide.”
