GREAT FALLS — The annual Festival Of Trees fundraiser from the Boys & Girls Club of Lewistown has gone to a completely virtual auction this year due to COVID-19, but there’s still time to get in on the bidding.

The event is the largest fundraiser of the year for the organization. Those interested in bidding can go to bgclublewistown.com/festivaloftrees and click on the virtual auction tab.

Instead of one night of previewing items, they will be offering the public a chance to see the donated items and trees on three dates: Thursday, December 2, and Friday, December 3 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m; and Saturday, December 5 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Trade Center.

"The cool thing is the online bidding can happen from anywhere that you have a digital device. You don't have to be in person,” said resource development director Abby Franks. "So we've had really cool support from people as far as way as North Dakota getting on and bidding on things. So we're hoping that it ends up being a really glass half full type situation."

On Saturday, December 5 items will begin closing from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m, and winners can pick up their items on Sunday, December 6 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
