Body of a man reported missing has been found near Marias Pass

GREAT FALLS — The body of Byron Reese Crow, who was reported missing several weeks ago, has been found.

The Flathead County Sheriff's Office said on Wednesday that U.S. Forest Service personnel found Crow's body on Tuesday in a wooded area a few miles from Marias Pass.

Crow’s vehicle was found at the parking area of Marias Pass after he was reported missing by his wife on September 20.

The Sheriff's Office said in a Facebook post that Crow's family has been notified.

No other details have been released.

There is no word at this point whether there was anything suspicious about Crow's death; we will update you if more information is released.



(SEPTEMBER 22, 2020) Authorities are asking for the public's help in finding Bryon Reese Crow.

The Flathead County Sheriff's Office, the Glacier County Sheriff's Office, and the U.S. Forest Service say that Crow's vehicle was found on September 20 in the parking lot at the summit of Marias Pass.

Crow is 52 years old, 5'10" tall, and weighs about 240 pounds.

The Flathead County Sheriff's Office said in a Facebook post that Crow may be wearing a kilt and have a camping kit and backpack with him.

They have reason to believe that he may be in the area of the Great Bear Wilderness, possibly in the area of the Marias Pass trailhead.
