HELENA — The Lewis & Clark County Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday announced that the body found at Canyon Ferry Lake has been identified as 57 year-old Murry Fladeland of Helena.
A fisherman found the body on Sunday in a bay between the Chalet and Fish Hawk recreation areas off of West Shore Drive.
Sheriff/Coroner Leo Dutton said Fladeland had a camp set up at Fish Hawk that included a tent and fishing gear.
The cause and manner of his death are still undetermined at this time, pending the results of an autopsy.
Sheriff Dutton did note there was evidence found that suggests an accident.
