MISSOULA — A Missoula man riding his bicycle died last Friday in Missoula after he was hit by an SUV.
The Missoula Police Department report says a 22-year old Missoula woman was driving a Hyundai Santa Fe northeast on Stephens Avenue when she struck the bicyclist at the intersection with East Bickford Street.
MPD says the 62-year old man hit his head on the SUV's windshield. He was taken to St. Patrick Hospital with serious injuries, and later died at the hospital.
MPD says drugs and alcohol are suspected by the 22-year old woman. She was not injured.
Authorities have not yet released the names of either person.
The Missoula Police Department continues to investigate to determine if charges will be filed.
