BILLINGS – Yellowstone County Deputy Coroner Rich Hoffman has identified the man whose body was found in the Yellowstone River near Worden over the weekend.

Hoffman said the man was Curtis Paul Wallette, 42, of Billings.

Wallette’s cause of death is pending as the coroner’s office waits for toxicology report results. Hoffman did mention, however, that the death did not appear to be suspicious.

Wallette’s body was found the evening of Saturday, July 20, by river floaters. He was discovered on the north bank of the river near North 22nd Road.

The coroner’s office has not determined how long Wallette was dead before his body was discovered.
