MSU issues shelter in place alert as police respond to incident

(UPDATE, 2:25 p.m.) The shelter in place at Montana State University in Bozeman has been lifted.

MSU Police issued an ‘all clear’ Thursday afternoon after officers responded to a situation on campus.

People may resume normal activities, according to MSU officials.

(1st Report, 1:23 p.m.) Montana State University issued an alert Thursday afternoon regarding an incident on campus.

This is a message from the University Police Department. Officers are responding to a situation on the campus. Seek shelter inside a room with a locking door. Close windows and blinds. Continue normal activity. Do not leave secured space until further instructions provided.

No other details have been released.
