(UPDATE, May 25, 7: 15 p.m.) The Montana Department of Justice released a statement to MTN News Saturday afternoon detailing that Thompson still has not been located and is believed to be in Montana.

The statement detailed how — despite the fact that she has not been found — the Missing/Endangered Person Advisory has expired.

Call the Helena Police Department at (406) 442-3233 or call 911 with any information regarding the situation.

(First report)

A Missing/Endangered Person Advisory has been issued for a 15-year-old Helena girl last seen on May 19 in Montana City.

Makenna Ann Thompson is not taking her medication and is believed to be in the company of 21-year-old Garrett Poteet.

Authorities believe Thompson left with Poteet voluntarily and they could possibly be headed to Colorado. Poteet’s credit card, however, was recently used in Ballantine, Montana about 3-4 days ago and there is an unknown direction of travel from there.

Thompson is a 15-year-old white female with hazel eyes and brown hair. She weighs about 100 pounds and is 5’4″.

Poteet is a 21-year-old white male with green eyes and brown hair. He weighs about 300 pounds and is 6’3″.

They could possibly be driving a dark green, 2004 GMC Sierra crew cab with license plate number MT 581226A. There is a sticker on the driver’s side rear window that reads “DIRTYMAX.”

If you have any information about Thompson or Poteet, you’re asked to call the Helena Police Department at (406)442-3233 or 911.

Here is an update on the missing juvenile that we listed earlier this week.
