GLACIER NATIONAL PARK – As of Wednesday, May 22, Glacier National Park plow crews were two miles away from Logan Pass.

Each year, plow crews start on the west and east side of the park and plow towards Logan Pass.

According to the park’s website, the west side crews have plowed to Rimrocks and the east side crews have reached Siyeh Bend.

The park reminded visitors that the earliest date the upper part of Going-to-the-Sun Road will open to vehicle traffic is June 22.

According to the park, the latest Going-to-the-Sun Road ever opened was in 2011 when the iconic highway didn’t open until July 13.
