WATCH: Trooper Palmer has returned home to Montana

Posted

Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Wade Palmer has returned home.

Palmer arrived in Missoula around 1:30 p.m. A motorcade is escorting him to his home.

Palmer has received treatment at a Salt Lake City hospital for the past two months after he was shot in the neck, face, and head in March. Palmer was shot after locating a suspect involved in an earlier shooting that injured two people and killed one in Missoula.

A press conference took place at the Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City Wednesday morning with Palmer’s lead physician, his wife Lindsey Palmer, Montana Highway Patrol Chief Tom Butler, Montana Attorney General Tim Fox, and others.

The officials updated the public on Palmer’s condition stating he has made “remarkable progress, but he has a ways to go yet.”
