Shooting involving sheriff’s deputy reported in Cut Bank

No injuries were reported in a Sunday shooting involving a sheriff’s deputy in Cut Bank.

The Cut Bank Police Department reported a Glacier County Sheriff’s Office deputy responded to a Cut Bank residence around 11:45 a.m. Sunday for a report of a domestic disturbance.

The deputy made contact with a man who brandished a firearm, according to the CBPD.

The man and deputy exchanged gunfire, but neither the officer nor the man were hit.

The man was then taken into custody without further incident.

The case is being investigated by the Cut Bank Police Department. More details are expected to be released later this week.
