Flu activity is no longer widespread across the state, according to Montana Health officials.

The number of new flu cases has been declining for weeks.

Flu activity is now considered regional, meaning influenza-like illnesses are present in less than half the state’s regions.

Over the last week, the state saw just under 300 new cases, and no new outbreaks have been reported.

The state has seen more than 12,700 cases of the flu this season, in which 737 people were hospitalized.

19 people, including one child, died from the flu.
