(GLASGOW) The Klind family owns a farm and ranch just south of Glasgow so when spring flooding began, they were hit hard.

They are also now in the process of calving 650 head of cows.

“The water came up and we were forced to move the cattle and hay to higher ground,” Toby Klind said. “We pulled Trevor out of school this week to help get it all accomplished.”

Klind added the water is about 2.5 feet deep over the county road to town.

Trevor worked all week and so when Saturday rolled around, he had different plans.

“Trevor was real quick to help get the feeding done and get to town in his kayak,” Klind said.

It was the Glasgow High School prom and Trevor had to catch a date with Emmalynn Page.

“To say the least, after a week of just seeing us, cows, mud and water, he was very happy to get to town,” Klind said.

Trevor was determined to make it to prom regardless of the transportation.
