BOZEMAN – The continued demolition of the gyms at Montana State University is still underway, and that means a big change in upcoming graduation.
MSU officials say the North, South and Upper Gyms were used during ceremonies.
While the fitness center remains closed for the rest of the semester, the university must come up with a plan to relocate the event.
Officials say that is a priority— but it might take some time.
“We’re working on plans to adjust for that, obviously. Some of those are still being sorted out but commencement will go on,” says Michael Becker, MSU spokesman and director of the MSU News Service. “We’ll be handing out diplomas and hopefully there won’t be too big of a difference for students.”
Once again, university officials say updates will be posted, including about the final destination for graduation.
