School officials are announcing the bus delays and closures for Tuesday due to winter conditions.
While all schools under Great Falls Public Schools will be open February 26, bus routes will not run outside the city.
In a press release, school officials stated they made the decision to cancel some bus routes after contacting the National Weather Service.
The following bus routes have been canceled for Tuesday, February 26:
Middle and High School:
- 30 Gore Hill
- 33 McGiver
- 34 Fox Farm
- 35 Sun Prairie
- 36 McGiver
- 37 Woodland Estates
- 40 Bootlegger
- 41 Golden Valley Loop
- 58 Lower River Rd.
- 59 Upper River Rd
Elementary:
- 41 Golden Valley Loop
- 43 McGiver
- 44 Gore Hill
- 46 Sun Prarie
- 47, 48, 49 Woodland Estates and Fox Farm
- 65 Bootlegger
- 66 Upper River Road
- 67 Lower River Road
All other bus routes will run and parents are advised to watch for Edulink messages in case of delayed pickups.
Parents have the right to make attendance decision based on individual circumstances as all weather-related absences are excused.
Tuesday evening events are not canceled at this time. Any cancellations will be announced Tuesday afternoon.
Area schools have also announced closures and bus delays.
Geraldine Public School: Bus routes and trip to legislature canceled; school is still on for in-town students and those able to make it safely
Lewistown Public Schools: Morning bus routes will not run
Opportunities, Inc. Head Start: Great Falls, Shelby, and Cut Bank bus routes are canceled
Cascade Public Schools: Adel, Castner Falls and Chestnut Valley bus routes will not run
Greenfield School: Late start – 8:40 am
Roy Public Schools: School is canceled / Field trip to attend Supaman performance in Grass Range is canceled
Highwood Public Schools: School is canceled
Hobson Public Schools: School is canceled
Geyser Public Schools: School is canceled
Stanford Public Schools: School is canceled
Centerville Public Schools: School is canceled
Grass Range Public Schools: School is canceled / Supaman presentation has been rescheduled for March 7th
Winnett Public Schools: School is canceled / Supaman presentation has been rescheduled for March 7th
Moore Public Schools: No morning bus routes
Box Elder Public Schools: Delayed start at 10:00 am / Staff should report by 9:30 and parents should expect the buses to pick up your children about 1.5 hours later than normal
Stone Child College: Late start at 10 am
