The FBI Laboratory in Quantico, VA has completed its analysis of the remains found on the Blackfeet Indian Reservation on December 13, 2018.
According to the FBI, anthropological analyses suggest the remains are of probable historic or ancient origin.
The examination also estimates that the remains are that of a Native American male, between 45 to 60 years old.
The Salt Lake City FBI has requested the remains be returned to us so they can be turned over to the Blackfeet Tribal Historic Preservation Office.

(December 14, 2018) The FBI says that on Thursday, December 13th, the agency was made aware of what appears to be human remains on the Blackfeet Indian Reservation.
The FBI’s Evidence Response Team from Salt Lake City is working to recover the remains and process the location where they were found.
In a press release, the FBI said it is working with Blackfeet Law Enforcement Services, the Bureau of Indian Affairs, and the Glacier County Sheriff’s Office.
The FBI declined to release any other information at this point, including whether the discovery may be related to the disappearance of Ashley Loring Heavy Runner last year.
