(UPDATE, 5:12 p.m.) The Montana Department of Transportation is reporting that an avalanche has closed all westbound traffic on Interstate 90 near St. Regis.

A car wreck was also reportedly blocking traffic on the interstate nearby the avalanche, just two miles west of Little Joe Overpass.

(1st Report, 4 p.m.) The Montana Department of Transportation reported Wednesday that a snow slide is blocking both westbound lanes on Interstate 90 approximately one mile east of the Montana/Idaho border on Lookout Pass.

MDT warned motorists to expect delays.

According to MDT, road conditions in western Montana are slush/scattered slush, snow-covered, and some areas of scattered snow and ice.

On Monday, Monida pass along the Montana/Idaho border south of Dillon was closed due to high wind, blowing snow, poor visibility and drifting.
