The Montana Cowboy Hall of Fame and Western Heritage Center celebrated their 11th class of inductees Saturday morning in Great Falls.

More than 600 people packed into the Heritage Inn for the recognition ceremony and brunch.

Twenty-four inductions were made in celebration of their lasting legacies and contributions to Montana’s western heritage.

One living and one legacy inductee are selected from each of 12 districts across the state. Each honoree was recognized with the story of their life and achievements.

The inductees included men, women, and organizations that have helped to preserve the cowboy life for future generations.

“That’s the main mission of the Montana Cowboy Hall of Fame is to recognize the cowboys of Montana,” explained Hall of Fame President Bill Galt. “That being said, we recognize other aspects of the cowboy way of life, we’ve inducted horses and congressmen, we’ve inducted a lot of types, but it all ties back to the cowboy way of life in Montana.”

The celebration continues Saturday evening with the Cowboy Ball and benefit auction.
