Winter weather closes several schools and businesses, cancels bus routes

Changing road conditions and upcoming frigid weather conditions are causing schools to close and some to cancel bus routes.

Monday, February 4th 

CLOSED:

Harlem Public Schools

Hays-Lodgepole Schools

Rocky Boy Public Schools

Browning Public Schools

Valier Public Schools

Heart Butte Public Schools

Box Elder Public Schools

De La Salle Blackfeet School – School is on, but has a late start at 10 a.m.

Geyser Public Schools – School is on, but starts at 10 a.m. Buses will run two hours later than usual.

Stone Child College

Aaniiih Nakoda College

White Clay Immersion School

Blackfeet Community College

BUS ROUTES CANCELLED:

Helena Public Schools – Bus routes 10, 16, 17, 15, 24 & 25

Chinook Public Schools – No buses running (school is still on)

Wolf Point Public Schools – No bus routes or cold weather route  (school is still on)

MISCELLANEOUS CLOSURES:

Rocky Boy Health Center – if you need medical emergency care, dial 9-1-1 or EMS/Police Department

Chippewa Cree Tribal Offices – for the exception of law enforcement

Blackfeet Early Childhood Center – no school or work

Blackfeet Child Care

Blackfeet Tribe – all out-of-town employees do not have to report to work; in-town staff must report to work
