Crews are continuing cleanup work after 39 coal cars derailed on Bozeman Pass Tuesday.
In a Wednesday press release, Montana Rail Link officials said work will continue throughout the day. They do not have a time for the track to reopen.
The public is asked to avoid the derailment site near the Trail Creek Road exit on I-90 between Bozeman and Livingston. Residents can expect minor traffic delays, according to MRL.
MRL officials stated “environmental contractors are onsite monitoring Rocky Creek water quality and have taken precautionary measures to reduce stream impacts.”
The cause of the derailment is under investigation.
