The identity of the woman who died after being hit by a car in Pondera County has been released.
The Pondera County Sheriff’s Office said 46-year-old Sheri Lynn Nevins of Valier was the victim of the January 22 crash.
The crash was reported on Highway 44 near mile marker 27 north of Conrad. The Montana Highway Patrol said a Buick Electra had a mechanical failure and was parked in the eastbound lane.
As the vehicle’s occupants were attempting to push the car to a pullout, another vehicle was approaching.
The driver of the second vehicle swerved to avoid hitting the Buick and struck Nevins.
NOTE: The Montana Highway Patrol had originally stated the victim was from Bigfork.
