Winter weather advisories and warnings in effect around Montana

Winter weather continues to impact the state on Sunday with several areas under advisories and warnings.

The northern and southern Rocky Mountain Fronts, including Logan Pass, Marias Pass, Browning, Heart Butte, Bynum, Choteau, and Augusta are under a Winter Storm Warning until 11 p.m.

Lewis and Clark, Jefferson, and Broadwater counties are under a Winter Weather Advisory until 9 p.m. Sunday.

An advisory is in effect until 2 a.m. Monday for areas in Glacier, Chouteau, Toole, Liberty, Pondera, Teton, and Fergus counties while Cascade, Judith Basin, and Meagher counties will remain under the advisory until 9 a.m. Monday.

Most of the road conditions in northcentral Montana are snow and ice covered. As of 2 p.m. Sunday, no road closures were in place.

Slippery road conditions with reduced visibility are expected.

The Montana Department of Transportation has reported a two-to-six vehicle crash that’s blocking the southbound lane on US Highway 89 near mile marker 67 in Teton County.

The incident, which was reported at 12:25 p.m., is expected to cause delays.
