Human remains found on Blackfeet reservation sent to FBI lab

The human remains that were found last week on the Blackfeet Indian Reservation have been recovered and sent to the FBI Laboratory in Quantico, Virginia, for analysis.

Authorities have not disclosed the location where the remains were found.

The FBI made the announcement on Monday morning; no other information has been released at this point.

(DECEMBER 14, 2018) The FBI says that on Thursday, December 13th, the agency was made aware of what appears to be human remains on the Blackfeet Indian Reservation.

The FBI’s Evidence Response Team from Salt Lake City is working to recover the remains and process the location where they were found.

In a press release, the FBI said it is working with Blackfeet Law Enforcement Services, the Bureau of Indian Affairs, and the Glacier County Sheriff’s Office.

The FBI declined to release any other information at this point, including whether the discovery may be related to the disappearance of Ashley Loring Heavy Runner last year.
