There was an oil spill in Cascade County in mid-November.

A spokesman for Phillips 66 confirmed to KRTV that the incident happened on Wednesday, November 14, along a crude oil pipeline operated by the company.

It happened on private property in a remote location about 30 miles southeast of Great Falls.

Phillips 66 personnel shut down the pipeline and notified the appropriate regulatory agencies.

The pipeline has since been repaired and returned to service, and most of the oil has been cleaned up.

The spokesman said there were no impacts to people, wildlife or waterways.
